Carmel Valley Lodge offers 1 and 2-bedroom units, as well as 3-Bedroom Cottages for lodging near Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur. Our single California King rooms offer a single CA King bed. Our Two-Bed units offer two Queen beds. The 2-Bedroom Units have a California King in the main room and a second California King bed in a separate room. Our King Suites boasts separate living and dining areas with full kitchen. Our 3-Bedroom Cottages feature two bedrooms with California King beds and one bedroom with a Queen bed, two bathrooms, full kitchen, living, and dining areas providing sleep arrangements for up to 6 people.  Some rooms have adjoining doors that can accommodate up to 8 people.  Our expensive, high-end beds are made of Wool and Cotton and will give you the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had away from home.

Room Amenities

All units have a fireplace and either a wooden deck, balcony or a flagstone patio, exposed wood-beamed ceilings, refrigerator, flat-screen TV, complimentary continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. We’re Dog Friendly in certain rooms with fee. As a wedding destination hotel, all rooms have hair dryers, irons & ironing boards, as well as extra hangers. Some rooms have Air Conditioning.

An Electric Vehicle Charger is on hotel property.

Property Accessiblity Features

As new owners, we are committed to renovating this beautiful, old property and making it as ADA compliant as is possible. We’ve engaged the council of a California Certified Access Specialist (CASp), and we are in the planning and permit phase of several ADA improvements. Until then, we do have a lovely room that, depending on needs, may be suitable for those in a wheelchair.  Don’t hesitate to call us, and we’ll happily provide more information about the property and our rooms.

  • Unit 12 features a California king bed with at least 42″ of space around the bed, a roll-in shower with bench and grab bar, an electric fireplace, refrigerator, and patio on ground level with threshold of approximately 2″. Access to parking lot is flat, close by, and easily negotiated.
  • The roll-in shower floor dam is under 1″.
  • There is approx. 5’ of space for maneuvering around the toilet.
