People itching for an opportunity to see local artwork – and enjoy a sense of normal – should be sure to attend this year’s Harvest Moon Faire. Enjoy a day of art, crafts, locally-sourced food and music at the best fall festival in Carmel Valley CA.
This event has become a must-do in the Carmel Valley region for both locals and visitors.
This annual faire traditionally celebrates the lovely fall season in California – warm days, cool nights and a perfect time to bask in the California sun amid the beauty of the gardens and patios of Carmel Valley Lodge. But this year it will also be an opportunity to reconnect with artists and others throughout Carmel Valley who have been self-isolating throughout the shutdown.
Crafts, Artwork & Food
Attendees can not only view hand-crafted jewelry, ceramics and hand-made clothes but will also have an opportunity to meet with the 10 participating artists (six-feet away, of course) and discuss their creative inspiration and processes.Held at the bright and sun-filled San Soucci event center at the Carmel Valley Lodge, the day will be conducted with safety in mind. Displays will replicate area farmers’ markets which have successfully navigated opening despite Covid. Masks will be mandatory and tables will be spaced 6-feet apart. Safety is our top concern.
In addition to viewing – and perhaps even purchasing the art work, attendees will also have an opportunity to purchase fresh food and drink from The Bitter Ginger. The company’s focus on hyper-local sourcing means attendees will quickly understand why this company is truly a local’s delight. The Bitter Ginger’s exotic drinks refresh and new, pleasant, taste buds often come alive through their creative bartending.
And be ready to put on your dancing shoes as Paige-Too and her band will be performing all their favorites from noon – 4 p.m. Brian Moore will be working his magic on trombone, Ben Herod will be wailing on the saxophone and clarinet, while Gene Short will round things up on keyboard.
